The agenda in order of appearance

Sponsors + New equipment
Jiri presented a suggestion for new shirts from a good tailor in the Check republic. The shirt could be made
in any way the Club decided. A suggestion to go back to the old colours with black and white stripes would
cost approximate $300 for 30 shirts.

Space for the number on the back and spaces for main sponsors on the front and under the number on the back.
The name is going to be printed on top of the number. Printing of numbers will cost $1.5 a digit. Shorts and socks
is to be bought in Hanoi. Jiri will arrange with payment and shipment. Jiri will also arrange a new shirt for the goalkeeper.

One problem is the main sponsor. Carlsberg have not said yes to go in as main sponsor. Justine was willing to
be the main sponsor but suggested that the shirt would be in red and black stripes in order go along with the
company logo. The meeting voted (10-0) and decided to take Justins offer and go on with red and black shirts.
The shorts and socks will be black.

Presentation of the club results

Jonathan Dunn handed out the statistics regarding The Complete Hanoi Capitals All-time apperences list,
Season 2001/2002 list and the Top 25 list of apperance, Goalscorer and striking rate.

Worth mentioning is the fact that Khalid Muhmood has past the magic 200 apperences and Jiri Kubis the
well done 100 during this year. When taking about striking rates you have to mention Jens Storm with 82 goals in 54 games.
John Hickins is the man with most played games without beeing substitute from the start.

Many thanks to Jonathan (and the guys before him) for keeping these lists updated.

Financial situation

The financial situation is not the very best. The net loss the last six months (from 1 of September) was $485,
which is $24 for each member, and the last year (from 1 mars) $841. The main cost was the Awards Dinner and
sponsoring when going on tournaments (Mai Chau, Viet Tri, Penang etc). The Hanoi Tournament also costed the
club a lot of money.

The suggestion was to eather make a significant raise of the member fee to $150 and keep the sponsoring of
tournament or keep the fee at $120 with less or no sponsoring. The meeting decided (8-3) to keep the $120 with
less or no sponsoring.

Later on the meeting also decided (see training) to charge non-members (not the Drink Team) VND 30 000 for
every practice in order to raise some money for rent.

New members

There will be a need for new members since 4-5 members might be moving within the next 6 months. The Club
will ask Eddie if he wants to join. Joakim, Ali and Khalid was given the mission to ask friends they have recommended before.

Pitches

Some of the last games have been on the Bach Khoa stadium. The question was if we should try to stay on that
bigger, somewhat better but more expencive pitch or stay at Thuy Loi. The head of accounting argued that there
was no alternative then to stay at Thuy Loi regarding the economic situation. The meeting decided to stay at
Thuy Loi pitch with the motivation of costs and long time friendship with the ones in charge.

Training

The last month there have been many people at practice (between 20-26) and approx. half of them Capitals.

The discussion if we should try to reduce the number of players on practise or not. There is always periods
over the year with many players and few players on practice.

After a long a totaly chalotic discussion the meeting decided three things:

1. Charge every non-member VND 30 000 for every practise (in order to keep the amount of players down and
also to contribute to the rent)
2. A team with Capital players should always start playing and the winner should stay. That meens that
(if divided into minimum two teams) Capital players will alway be on the pitch.
3. A guest must have been invited by one member in order to play if there is to many players

Members are also urged to come at practice at 19.30 the latest in order for the management to decide equal teams.

Away trips

The schedule for known tournaments is:
11 May in Tam Dao
end of August in Shanghai (suggestion from Ali, 7 aside)
September (usually first weekend) in Mao Chao
and also the annually tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

The meeting decided to concentrate on the always nice tournament in Tam Dao and the traditional one in
Mao Chao and to skip the one in HCMC. Shanghai tournament is still open for discussion.

Referees

Jiri said that there have been complaints from the members about the referees during the last years. The management
have tried to find new solutions but there is no other alternative available. They will try though to keep Mr. Hoa from the pitch.
Sony said that it is up to every each one of us to keep the calm during bad referee games. The captain is responsible
and allowed to substitute players that behave aggressively during the game.

Club restaurant or bar

The Club has been looking a long time for a good place to look upon as a Club restaurant or bar. Maybe a place to
keep all the tournament trophy´s. Today there is only a small Club flag on the La Salsa restaurant. There was no
really suggestions but to ask Justin and his new opened place at Bao Khan street.
Sony suggested that he could ask his gay friends at the Fortuna.

Fanzine and web

Jeff and Joakim is working on getting a webpage up. A suggestion will be availaible within the next couple of weeks.
The content will mainly be Club and other news, statistics and information to members (current, old, new and potensial).
The question if we should seek for an own domain name (cost some money) was

Extra comments

Sonny: The management do a hard job to keep the Club going. Complaint from members is taken to heart but some
more commitment from others are sough for. Criticism is welcomed but a member can take own action if he has
some good connections. It is only good for the Club to be more constructive.

Jiri: There is no garanti what quality the team we play have. We have played 18 different teams the last six month.
Members must sign up for the game at thursday the latest. After that the management will look for substitution players.
Members who sign up later may start the game on the side as substitute.

The meeting said that the management had done a good job and decided (10-0) that the current management should
be reelected for the next period (six month).

The meeting ended att 21.55 but the night continued at the Polite Pub.
